Spa and pool lights a bit different but lovely!
Great choice! I had the oldest pentair 12v heavy glass front pool and Spa lights and they were horrible to change the bulbs. This LED light was easy and light weight and does not have a bulb to change. I compared the light with 3 or 4 others and ultimately decided to change both pool and spa with the Goldlife products. It took time to run the new cords but it was easier than I thought. Make sure to put pool epoxy in the holes behind the lights to ensure a water seal into the wall where the cord runs. Now neither remote is great. I have a transformer but not a RGB converter. I cannot access the transformer bc the boxes are painted shut and as old as the old light (see the pics). However, it does change from blue, red & green with the light switch. The original wires are copper White, Black & Green like a120 but they are 12v from transformer. Check with the multimeter to make certain.New pool light wires are Brown & Blue. Connect Blue to white and Brown to black. Allowing for several light colors with light switch. The spa light is more difficult as the screws don’t line up and I had to drill a new hole in the plastic. It also has different wires 4 wires. Black, green, blue & Red like an LED strip light not a 12v garden light. I only get the blue color in the spa. Connected the Black to Black, Green to ground and only connected blue to white and capped the red wire. I couldn’t figure out any other way to connect the spa light for colors. Bummer!I do not know why the pool light is wired different than the spa light bc the pool light changes colors and the spa needs a converter. Too late now or I may have gone with a different spa light.I think it looks beautiful, the 6” spa light is much brighter than the 10” pool light. Saved me $2000, I am hoping they last for many years!!
